Our history

Founded in 2017, our orphanage Dar al Amal, meaning "House of Hope", is located in Tiznit (Morocco) and came into existence thanks to the initiative of our founding president, Lahcen Assakti. Before the creation of our establishment, abandoned children in the region were welcomed in a simple room at the Tiznit hospital. This orphanage was born from the desire to offer these children a stable, warm, and secure environment, meeting their daily needs with kindness and commitment.

Today, Dar al Amal takes care of 36 children, from birth to the age of 15. These children, whether orphans, abandoned, or from families in severe social difficulty, find here a respectful and attentive living environment dedicated to their well-being and development.

Our Dedicated Team

Our team, essential to the smooth running of the orphanage, is composed of passionate and dedicated professionals. It consists of a social worker, five childcare assistants, and educators who ensure the daily care and support of the children.
